The Nerf Element EX-6 Action Kit is essentially a re-release of the gun that comes with Nerf Disk Shot, which itself is basically an upgrade to the ever popular Nite Finder EX-3.

The first thing you’ll notice when you see the Element EX-6 in the packaging is the accessories. The package comes with a scope and a light, both of which attach to the top of the gun. Neither attachment works very well — particularly the scope. Nerf darts sink rather quickly and don’t maintain a constant trajectory, so the scope isn’t accurate at all beyond about 10 feet or so.

The other downside of the attachments is that they make the gun heavier and more bulky than is really necessary for a pistol, but I do have to admit, they look pretty cool when attached. The attachments are also compatible with other guns in the N-Strike line, including the Maverick, Vulcan, Nite Finder, Longshot, and Recon.

If you already have a Nite Finder, the biggest (and only IMO) reason to upgrade to the Nerf Element is the increased dart storage. Whereas the original Nite Finder could hold only two extra rounds of ammo, the Element can hold five.

Internally, the Nerf Element EX-6 is basically identical to the Nite Finder, except that the light is now an accessory, so you don’t have to deal with the battery and wires. The plunger is also a bit smaller, but it’s just as easy (and worthwhile) to mod as the Nite Finder EX-3. Even the most amateur modders should be able to increase the range to 40 feet or more just by removing the air restrictor and plugging a hole in the barrel with tape.

It’s impossible not to recommend the Nerf N-Strike Element if you don’t already have the Nerf Disk Shot, as the increased dart storage capacity alone makes it a fantastic upgrade to what was already one of the best Nerf guns out there.

If your looking for a pretty decent pistol here it is! Now you can use a pistol for both day and night missions.

$43? Honestly?
Just get a nite finder, mod the air restrictor and take out the light and the batery pack, don’t screw in the cover on the bottom, and BOOM! 2 extra dart storage. Just put the darts in suction cups up, facing towards the gun.

these tools are extremely useful in the heat of battle, but why not buy a recon instead since it comes with the light.

who would pay 50$ for a gun thats no better than a nitefinder, and a scope and light. Ok you can buy a nitefinder that fires extremely well and has a light for $7 a scope is sold with bullets for about $6, $13 is a heck of a lot cheaper than $50 these guys are crazy.

If you have the Nightfinder EX-3 get this one seriosly upgrade.
Some reasons to upgrade:
1.Increased dart storage
2.Scope/light

40$ that is the worst deel ever just get a nitefinder and a scope like javan said

jason January 16, 2010 at 12:33 pm

an also the lazer if the lazer is on the top part of the barral it is useless you have to get the recon to see what i meen but you have to have the lazer on the bottom of the barral or els it is not helpful at all

samboyay January 18, 2010 at 10:15 pm

I’d like to get this for the scope and things but not for the gun is there a nother way to get the scope without buying the gun with it.

jason January 21, 2010 at 5:50 pm

yeah samboyay go to nerf.com and click on nstrike then click on all nstrike products and scoll throw the pages until you find a scope it cost around 10$ you can order it or buy it a a store and it also comes with the longshot

$50??? I scored this little beaut for $20 at Zellers. And it’s hell accurate.

The "OTTER" February 2, 2010 at 3:29 am

Although the scope on the Longshot fits.. It is not the one shown here as the one on the Longshot does “NOT” have an accesory rail attatched to it on the top.

jason February 12, 2010 at 7:55 am

yes but the night finder dose

oh hai February 27, 2010 at 12:32 am

Oh god. This is what happens when Nerf goes trigger happy over accessories. You could basically do the same thing with the actual gun from your Recon plus the Laser Light and the Flip-Up Sight.
