This is an awesome gun. I kinda don't like the fact that you have to pull the trigger back real far, but It's still great as a sidearm, sometimes as a primary. You can easily take down Recons, Speedloads, and maybe even a Barricade if you do the String/Lanyard method. It's an awesome dual-wield technique. You could use any type of dart, but the ones with the big head, like the Taggers, Whistlers, and Sonic Micros can jam a little. just a LITTLE bit.
Recommended as a sidearm. 10/10

I'm just wondering if this blaster could compete against other primary blasters?

Help, I put the gun back together and now the barrels dont line up with the muzzle so that it won't fire a dart. (basically the barrels line up half blocked and half exposed. I have tried to reassemble it several times and each time the same thing. Can anyone tell me how to get the barrel to line up right?

It's ironic that the icon of NERF Blasters is named after the word meaning 'ordinary' and 'unobtrusive, regular'.

I got my butt kicked in a Nerf war by a Maverick teamed with a Stampede. I found out that it has great accuracy, too. Never get ambushed by a guy with a Maverick. I want one. Where can you find them?

J,
Your Maverick, Well, Its Broken. The bar inside the slide is getting weak and will break soon.what the metal bar does is releases the spring that primes the gun.

Mine did that after I modified it, but I found a solution. Take the pistol-esque cocking lever off (or slide, whatever it’s called). Then, find a piece of .125 in. round steel dowel and cut it to about 3 in. long. Take 2 1.5 in pieces of .5 in or wider wood doweling and drill a .125 in hole in the center of each dowel chunk about halfway in. Loop the metal rod through the little spring (NOT the main spring) that pulled the cocking lever back originally, in front of the nub on the air pump thing. Jam the dowels onto the ends of the 3 in. metal rod so that they touch the sides of the gun. This creates a toggle like cocking mechanism which has worked every time for me. Hope this helps.
