Hi I bought this gun for my 5 yr old he loves it but i think his dad loves it more lol! I bought some whistle bullets for this gun but don’t work i was just wondering what other bullets go in this gun. THANKS. i GIVE THIS GUN A BIG FAT 10/10 ITS ACE XXX

I think the reviews have got it right. I’ve had this gun for a while, and the only thing I think of when I use it is “I want a better gun.” I’m planning on lightly modding it to improve range, but that won’ t help the “getting-stuck-on-every-freaking-shot ” thing.

be careful removing the AR, i did and it blew the back off the plunger after a few days. i love my *new =P* recon, id like to get a raider just for the clip but it is definitely the best looking. the longshot looks stupid.

a lot of people complain about the recon, but personally I love my recon.
Objectively, well actually i don’t believe in objectivity (but no ot)
i like that it isn’t automatic, it makes it more impressive when i win a battle against my automatic wielding friends or sibling (remember the 3 s’s, strafe, Strafe, STRAFE).
it is true, it does jam, as aforementioned by nearly everyone else, in fact my one friend now prefers revolvers, but this is only if your rhythm isn’t good. power is now not an issue because orange modworks have released performance and reliability kits for the recon, but not everyone is happy about that being used in stuff like HvZ and nerfwars so ask first

so…

i took the “laser” apart for the rail attachment and epoxyed my led lensor to it (those of you who have xp withthese will know how effective they are).

i have a stampede and am using the bipod/grip

i am using the shield from the stampede, but because it obscures the ‘slide’ (or whatever you wanna call it) i have press-stuck/blue-tacked it on further forwards on the slide so my hand can fit behind the shield

i am using the recon sights because they work even when flipped down with the stampede’s shield on (i find they’re a lot like actual fifle sights when flipped down)

my friend is giving me his laser from his recon (‘cos he doesn’t use it and i stupidly threw my laser away once i mountedd the torch on its rail attachment) and i’m going to get a real laser and mount it on the rail attachment using the recon’s laser’s wiring to add a toggle switch to the laser

but Duncan you say, it won’t all fit. ah but i took the rails off the sides of my stampede and have ground them down and am halfway through epoxying them onto the sides of the barrel (one rail is on so far) the effect is that it looks somewhat like an actual assault rifle

overall its a little plain if you’re not into customisation and ingenuity. it’s the basic anti-thesis of guns like the alpha-trooper it values aim and consideration over rapidly pumping more darts at your foe than they can at you. good if you’re into quasi-sniping\point riding\recon stuff, not good if you heart spray&pray©. actually, the name is its directions on when to use; recon. it’s not idiot proof (i’m not calling anyone an idiot), but hey, it’s a nice gun.
